Introduction media and new media technologies and film making vocabulary to students
Mise en scene horror stills.
Introduce 60 second film project. The filming is to be done on mobile phones and then up loaded onto Drama Blog. Give out a handout of media terminology. Bring your mobile phone to this lesson.
Discussion of technical capabilities 2meg camera Bluetooth or usb connection
The films will be in the genre of horror.
In groups create freeze frames of horror stories and photograph them.
Evaluate the effectiveness and what emotions and stories the freeze frames evoke.
Create a 60 second scene starting from the freeze frame

Week Two
To understand the differences between drama and filmmaking in story telling techniques
· storyboarding quick debrief
· camera work in role as director taking images on mobile phones and they share why the victim the killer, the hero. In arts and sciences only not outside.
· Discuss what makes a good horror movie. What film techniques do they use?
· Discuss the scenes from last lesson and discuss how they could be filmed, what differences would they make, when filming.
· In groups story board a 60 second horror trailer for a movie.

Week Three
To create a production team ,understand and start the filming process in groups
